Finding a pet-friendly destination doesn’t have to be “ruff.” Make no bones about it, Kingman, Arizona has a number of places that your pup will love to visit and explore. From the fun playground at Lewis Kingman Dog Park to the variety of trails, and a menu of dog-friendly restaurants, there is plenty for your dog to see, and do while visiting the area. Check out these fantastic spots, all located near Zuni Village and RV Park.

Lewis Kingman Dog Park

After a long drive on that long ribbon of highway, even Fido needs to get out and stretch his legs-all four of them! The Lewis Kingman Dog Park located at 2201 E. Andy Devine Avenue is just the spot. This dog park, named after 1800s railroad surveyor Lewis Kingman, has specific areas set aside for both large and small dogs. Beat the heat by enjoying the plentiful shade offered by area trees. area for large dogs and a separate area for small dogs. As part of a larger park, the nine-acre facility also offers grills and picnic areas, along with public restrooms.

Ma & Pa’s Hot Rod Cafe

One of the best places to bring Fido in Kingman is Ma & Pa’s Hot Rod Café . The menu has delicious options sure to be a “treat” for everyone in your party, including your furry, four-legged friend! Ma & Pa’s offers outdoor seating next to the skate park which includes plenty of shade so if your pup gets too hot, they can cool down. Ma & Pa’s also offers a doggie water bowl for thirsty pups and has outdoor seating where four legs are allowed as well!

Canyon 66 Restaurant and Lounge

If you’re looking to have an upscale dinner while out on historic Route 66 but don’t want to leave Fido in the RV, then Canyon 66 Restaurant and Lounge is the place for you! This up-scale establishment welcomes pups on both patios as well as inside. Please note, dogs are allowed inside this restaurant with an additional $25 fee (plus tax) per dog plus an additional 15% gratuity on the bill.

Floyd & Company Real Pit BBQ

For a more down to earth experience, try out Floyd and Company’s real pit barbecue! This casual restaurant welcomes pets with open arms because they know that having Fido by your side is all the company you need for an enjoyable dining experience. Watch your pup go “hog wild” at this dog-friendly BBQ eatery with plenty of water bowls so Fido can stay hydrated as well as tasty snacks for him and his doggy friends. Dogs are allowed inside on seats at tables as well as in the patio but for safety reasons, they must remain on a leash.

Havasu Adventure Company

The Havasupai Tribe has partnered with Havasu Adventure Company to provide a new adventure for visitors. Visitors will enjoy the scenic scenery of Havasupai Falls from an entirely different perspective — that of their canine companion! For an eco-friendly adventure, try Havasu Adventures. This small group tour company, an easy hour drive from Zuni Village and RV Campground in Kingman, leads guests on a kayaking trip down the Havasupai Reservation’s famous blue waterfalls. They provide you with all of the gear needed so that you can enjoy this adventurous outing without having to worry about renting or purchasing anything. For an additional $35 pet fee, your furry best friend can join you on the boat and enjoy the spray of the crystal clear water on his snout. Havasu Adventure Company was created in the hopes of providing a different type of adventure for people and their pets to enjoy when visiting Havasupai Reservation, and it has been very successful so far!

Champion Rentals, Lake Havasu City

One of the best places to rent boats near Kingman is from Champion Rentals which operates out of Lake Havasu City, Arizona. They offer pontoon boat rentals, fishing boats, kayaks and canoes. Champion Rentals is also pet friendly for well-behaved fur-babies, and they will even provide a life vest for your dog. Do call ahead to verify availability.

London Bridge, Lake Havasu City

London Bridge is falling down-well, not exactly. It was taken down, however, brick-by-brick in 1968 when chainsaw magnate Robert P. McCulloch, Sr. purchased the original iconic English structures and rebuilt in Lake Havasu City, Arizona, only sixty minutes away from Kingman. One of the areas most popular and historical landmarks, it boasts some beautifully ornate lamp posts which were crafted from melted iron from Napoleon’s Waterloo cannons–but did you know that London Bridge is also pet friendly? Dogs and their owners can enjoy a jolly “jaunt across the pond” without leaving the good old U.S. of A.
